I have a pillow that sits in my living room that reads, "Support your local wildlife, have children." This nicely sums up that I think my children, now teens, are mostly feral. However, Suzanna Kaye, professional organizer has a super sweet awesome 7 year old, so there is still a great deal of hope at her house.
Check out this great facebook live (okay, facebook video that was recorded in advance but aired at the same time as the live).
It was a bright and sunny day in Orlando Florida.
Just another day in paradise when you hear - "Organize Your Pets" from the girl next to you.
"Organize my pets huh? So my dog could learn to like, clean up?", you ask. Remembering that you saw a dog on YouTube vacuuming.
"Yeah, I could totally go for that." You say nodding your head emphatically.
We’ve all been there, that moment when you’re just sure you’ve purchased the toy of your child’s dreams! The toy they will love and cherish one day mentioning it with nostalgia when you’re both adults vacationing together someplace splendid.
You glance around your house, your eyes lingering on the whimsical sign a friend got you, “Excuse the mess, we’re making memories.” It’s the battle cry of the exhausted mother that wants to be able to sleep at night without overwhelming guilt for all the stuff that lingers around the house.
Organize by taking one step at a time. When was the last time you saw the counter under that jumble of paperwork? We're sure at one time we could fit a car in the garage, but how do we get back to those days? Where do we even start to get organized?
The hardest part is starting – or deciding where to start.
So, break it down!
