Wishing you had more time? Know that with just a little more time you could finish all those projects? Need to have more room in your house to breathe? I’m guessing yes.
Destinations we know we can arrive at if we just had a little more time to get there. Continue reading
Spark Organizing has heard the same stories. Stories of elves that make shoes, increasing business productivity while the owners slept. Then the stories about house elves that did little chores making life easy. Our hearts went pitter-patter and we all WANTED. Continue reading
I’ve been making really good friends at local networking groups and local conferences. Going for drinks and learning about one another’s businesses! It’s been a wonderful way to connect to the leaders, the movers and shakers, of Orlando. If you’re not in the habit of networking, getting out, and meeting people, then let this be your motivator! The world is filled with simply amazing people.
What if you put it in the cloud and you lose it? Or it gets hacked…. or you forget your password….. or you simply forget where online you put them? I mean, are these new fangled online papers even legal?!
At this point it’s easy to see why people are so afraid but there’s also a beautiful dream that could be your reality. Continue reading
Whether you call it a purse, bag, handbag, shoulder bag, or backpack, I promise you there are great ways to make those things more functional! Saving you time and your back! But first a classic purse joke…
“As the bus pulled away, I realized I had left my purse under the seat. Later, I called the company and was relieved that the driver had found my bag.
When I went to pick it up, several off-duty bus drivers surrounded me. One man handed me my pocketbook, two typewritten pages and a box containing the contents of my purse. Continue reading
Depression comes in many shapes and forms.
In all of its forms, it’s a beast that wants to take over your life. This is not a fairytale cartoon. You can’t just kiss this booboo.
The beast is not waiting for a rose petal to fall so that life will return in full glory. Sadly, depressed people often make their spaces into dark cocoons. Closing the blinds. Letting dust gather. Piles of put off decisions gather. This might make the sufferer feel better but… Continue reading
Fasten your seatbelts because this is one life lesson you are not going to want to miss. An organizing budget just for you. Are you ready?
Organizing doesn’t have to cost you a penny.
Everywhere you look there are things that you have but you don’t really use them anymore. Why are they still there? Why can’t you just give them away or throw them away?
Batteries, pencils, twist ties, rubber bands, legos, toiletries, tea candles, you know, the little things. Stuff you really do need but they’re just begging to be organized. You already know I’m not going to tell you to throw them in a drawer and forget out it.
I’m going to give you great tips for ways to make those little things look beautiful and be right at your finger tips when you need them!
Let’s start in the hear of the home!
An over the door organizer doesn’t have to hang over a door. What?! Right!
Inside a pantry, just outside the kitchen door in the garage, you name it. Put those handy wipe, cleaners, fresh rags or sponges there. Baking soda, vinegar, cleaners, brushes, and other cleaning tools. In fact this would work just as well in the Laundry room as the Kitchen.
Consider putting water bottles, ziploc boxes, foil, seasoning packets, snacks, the ideas are limited only to what you have to stuff it with! Ah…. all those little things – tidy. Be still my heart.
Confession time – this is my actual stuff, in my actual bathroom. I rent so no looking at the tile. Can you see how handy this is in a small space? Puts everything where I can see it easily and bonus because I can easily see it, I can easily put it back! Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
These over the door organizers are work horses! You could put bathing suits, unders, diapers, pull ups, wash clothes, shampoo, conditioners, brushes, hair do pretty thingys.
Scarves, socks, belts, tshirts….. the pins on Pinterest telling you what to put in one of these for your closet is endless. Don’t forget toys… dog toys. What? your dogs don’t use your closet?
This might be my favorite. No junk drawers here! Just beautifully sorted office supplies. They make me happy. Just looking over at them makes me smile. Rubber bands, binder clips, power cords, batteries, post it notes, markers, sharpies, scissors….. don’t they look beautiful?
Don’t skip this is you don’t have kids. You probably have a fur baby – which is really a kid, come on. Toys, stuffies, legos, small books, small shoes, small clothes, and so many tiny things. Get more than one.
Also this is a great idea for kids rooms: Toy Library
Ornaments! or cold weather gear. Perfect for gloves and hats, scarves, wool socks….. this thing can go in your car too!
So, isn’t your head just swimming with good ideas? Go forth, get an over the door organizer! Be organized!
