Create Your Office with JOY not Clutter!

Consider this, your space is a reflection of you. Especially your workspaces. If you had to describe your space using a feeling, would you go to JOY? Or would you perhaps head straight to depressing, overwhelming, boring?

Having an office or workspace that makes you feel depressed, overwhelmed, or bored is obviously a problem. It robs you of the creative wellspring that lives inside you. Yes, you have a creative wellspring. It's usually unlocked when we are at peace and feeling happy. Dare I say, it's unlocked by joy?

Think about the last time you had a really productive, fun day? Not just productive but fun! 


I find my family, my vacation photos, and my happy moments captured in pictures are very motivating. Using these all over my house and office to sparks JOY! However, I have tons. Too many to put out at one time, in fact.

Did you hear how easy swapping out on holidays is? A really great way to keep our office spaces feeling fresh. We truly do stop seeing our spaces after a time. We can get used to anything. One of the great things about our brains that doesn't always work in our favor.

If you have memorabilia that you don't want to keep or you simply don't have space for, the memory journal comes into play. Don't even use a full page for some items. This isn't a book you fill in one year but over the course of years. Otherwise we'd just be creating tons of journals.

When I have a longer memory to save I like to use the DayONEapp. It's a great tool on my phone that allows me to not procrastinate about recording and saving the memory while doing it digitally. Which doesn't contribute to clutter. A win win!
